Cooling Centers in the Heat Wave

Despite it being early September, we’re not done with the heat yet. A National Weather Service Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from noon on September 5 to 10 p.m. on September 6. St. Helens is opening cooling centers, including the St. Helens Public Library, to help residents stay cool.

Additional relief locations include the St. Helens Senior Center, St. Helens Alano Club, and Oregon Trail Lanes, though they’re not official cooling centers. These locations offer water, restrooms, and designated areas for pets. For more details, visit:
