Consumer Protection

Consumer Protection services offered by the Oregon Department of Justice include assisting consumers with complaints, preventing fraud, enforcing consumer protection laws, and providing consumer education. These services are available statewide and have no age restriction.

COVID-19 Funeral Assistance

FEMA’s COVID-19 Funeral Assistance offers financial aid for funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020, which includes cremation, funeral services, headstones, urns or caskets, costs of producing death certificates, and clergy. Available nationwide with no age restrictions, services are offered from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

With a team of trained volunteers, the service provides a safe space to talk about issues such as depression, self-harm, suicide, and other mental health concerns, to people across the nation.

Disabled American Veterans provides advocacy and support resources for disabled veterans and their families including benefit claims assistance, transportation to medical appointments, and assistance accessing health care resources. Services are available nationwide, year-round.

The WorkSource Oregon program offers employment services to disabled veterans in Columbia County. DVOP specialists provide tailored job and training opportunities to veterans, with a focus on those with service-connected disabilities.
