  • State Veteran Benefits and Programs – Education

    Statewide services are offered by ODVA for State Veteran Benefits and Programs – Education – COVID-19 Update. Individuals can call for services or can come in for emergent needs; in-person assistance is available by appointment only. The organization offers various financial assistance programs for education to veterans and their families, including Post-9/11 GI Bill, Tillman Military Scholarship, Montgomery GI Bill, Dependent Tuition Waiver, and more, with no age restrictions.

  • State Veteran Benefits and Programs – Employment

    Local Veteran Service Officers offer assistance to veterans aged 18 and above with employment-related information, including job counseling, search workshops, and resume preparation, in addition to education and training opportunities. State Veteran Benefits and Programs are also provided.

  • State Veteran Benefits and Programs – License Plates

    The Oregon DMV offers driver-related services through appointments and mail for vehicle title and registration. They provide permanent vehicle registration for disabled veterans, military veteran recognition license plates, and veteran designation on Oregon driver licenses, with no age restriction statewide. Additionally, they have updated their services to accommodate COVID-19 safety measures.

  • State Veteran Benefits and Programs – Outdoor Recreation

    The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife provides Resident Disabled Veteran Combination and Shellfish licenses, while the United States Geological Service offers free America the Beautiful National Park and Federal Recreation Lands pass. Oregon State Parks provides Special Access Passes for Veterans with disabilities and a refund program for active duty military on leave, allowing free parking and camping in RV sites, tent sites and standard horse camp sites at 26 state parks statewide.

  • State Veteran Benefits and Programs – Taxation

    The State Veteran Benefits and Programs in Oregon offer Property Tax Deferral and Homestead Property Tax Exemption to homeowners who are 62+ years old, disabled, or eligible for federal Social Security Disability benefits. Disabled veterans, surviving spouses, and registered domestic partners of veterans can also benefit from this program, which has no age restriction and is available statewide.
