“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” is a six-week program that equips family caregivers with self-care tools to reduce stress, improve communication with healthcare providers and family members, handle difficult emotions, and make informed caregiving decisions. It has no age restrictions and is based on evidence-based principles.
The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving offers information, education, and training programs for caregivers and caregiver self-help, including the RCI Reach program for dementia caregivers and the Dealing with Dementia workshop for family and professional caregivers. These programs are available nationwide with no age restrictions.
Caregivers Action Network offers nationwide services to family members and caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions, disabilities, diseases, or old age, providing vital information, education, peer support, and resources. There are no age restrictions for those who need their services.
AARP’s Family Caregiving Information provides a web page and support line with information on family caregiving, covering basics, legal issues, health concerns, and local resource lists. AARP also offers an online community for caregivers to connect with others and receive expert advice. Available nationwide with no age restrictions.
