Oregon Veterans’ Emergency Financial Assistance Program provides emergency financial assistance, including emergency or temporary housing expenses, emergency medical or dental expenses, and emergency transportation. Assistance is available statewide and is granted only once, with average award amounts varying. Call before visiting the office, and all visitors are required to wear masks.
Emergency Assistance Program – Multiple Sclerosis Foundation – Provides one-time financial assistance for urgent needs related to rent, utilities, or medication for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Service available nationwide on weekdays from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
USA Cares provides financial assistance and post-service skills training to post 9/11 military veterans, service members, and their families, nationwide, with no age restriction, to help create long-term stability and reduce potential factors contributing to veteran suicide.
The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation’s Emergency Assistance Program is a nationwide service that provides one-time financial assistance to individuals with MS for rent, utilities, or medication needs. They do not assist with mortgage payments.
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development Oregon Field Office provides information on various housing programs including home buying, selling, renting, home improvements for the homeless, FHA refunds, foreclosures, and consumer information. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and is not age-restricted.
