Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) offers accurate and updated VA information, referral services, and advocacy to veterans. They also provide claims support and representation to those in need.
Oregon Veterans’ Emergency Financial Assistance Program provides emergency financial assistance, including emergency or temporary housing expenses, emergency medical or dental expenses, and emergency transportation. Assistance is available statewide and is granted only once, with average award amounts varying. Call before visiting the office, and all visitors are required to wear masks.
VETcare Veterans Home and Resource Center provides transitional housing, life skills and substance abuse recovery training, reintegration programs, employment, intensive and housing case management, and suicide prevention services to veterans aged 18 and above. Available on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and catering statewide.
NOHA provides a range of housing programs for families with children, adults, seniors, and persons with disabilities in Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook counties. These programs include Section 8 Rental Assistance, Housing Choice Vouchers, and Low Income Housing Tax Credit Affordable Housing Units. Open from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Operation Homefront offers rent-free transitional housing to disabled service members returning home after discharge, with services available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and no age restrictions. Services are available nationwide.
Housing Solutions Team offers deposit assistance, eviction prevention, and transitional/permanent housing for at-risk households. They work with individuals in need of housing assistance and can be contacted for appointments.
