Salem Veterans Center provides limited in-person service, telehealth services, and 24-hour hotline for veterans and their families. They offer bereavement and readjustment counseling, PTSD counseling, alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals. All services are confidential. Age range is 18 years and above, and the center serves statewide.

Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House is an in-patient facility that serves patients who are near the end of life and provides respite care for family caregivers. The facility features twelve private rooms with various amenities and is able to accommodate frailtyontinence, and wheelchairs. It’s available statewide.

Savvy Caregiver

Savvy Caregiver is a 12-hour training program designed for caregivers of family members with Alzheimer’s disease, providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to manage stress and carry out their caregiving role effectively. Available for those aged 18 and above in Columbia.

Senior Farm Direct Nutrition Program Statewide offers vouchers for eligible seniors to purchase Oregon grown produce at participating farm stands and farmers markets from June 1 to October 31. Oregon Farmer’s Markets also offer a matching program, doubling SNAP purchases dollar for dollar up to a certain amount for seniors 62 and above.
