Oregon Money Management Program (OMMP)
The Money Management Program (OMMP) provides free, personalized assistance with financial management specifically for adults aged 18 and over who receive federal and state benefits. Our staff is responsible for managing these funds to ensure they are used appropriately and effectively.
Eligibility
Our services are available to eligible individuals aged 18 and older who receive federal and state benefits such as Social Security, Veterans Benefits, and Railroad Retirement Benefits. Priority is given to those with limited income and assets.
Services Offered
Payee Service: For individuals receiving federal benefits who are unable to manage their own funds. Our case manager takes on the role of payee, managing these funds on their behalf.
Bill Pay Service: For individuals who control their finances but need short-term assistance to maintain financial stability. This service typically lasts three months, with possible extensions for ongoing assistance.

Program Safeguards
- Screened and Certified Case Manager: Our case manager undergoes rigorous screening, training, certification, and supervision to ensure high-quality service.
- Strict Confidentiality: We maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in all client interactions.
- Operational Oversight: The Department of Human Services (DHS) provides training and oversight to ensure the integrity of local program offices.
- Monthly Monitoring: Client accounts are reviewed monthly to guarantee funds are used correctly.
- Protection from Loss: Measures are in place to protect client funds from mistakes or misuse by program staff.
